“Harmonic Lights” — a synesthetic light installation at Salle Gaveau.
During an exceptional evening where virtuoso Nicolas Horvath performed unpublished versions of Chopin’s Nocturnes, this installation immersed the audience in a synesthetic experience, creating an intimate connection between movements of light and the perception of music.
The setup consisted of hundreds of lightbulbs, each linked to an audible frequency, allowing the audience to see the music and highlighting its subtleties.
Far from replacing the essential figures of a concert—the composer and the performer—Harmonic Lights aims to heighten sensations and enrich the musical experience.
